Most Common Auto Repairs

On the Berlin City Kia blog, you read a lot about the importance of car maintenance and why it’s so very important to not skip routine service jobs like oil changes, tire rotations, and the like. We can’t emphasize enough how important it is to give your car the preventative care it needs to avoid costly repairs down the road, help maintain the resale value of your car, and lengthen its lifespan. If you live in Williston, Burlington, Colchester, Essex, St. Albans, or a surrounding area and would like your car serviced on a regular basis by factory-trained automotive technicians, then please contact the Berlin City Kia Service Center today. If you bring your car in for routine maintenance just one time, we’ll store your car’s information in our system, and every time you come in, we’ll know exactly what needs to be done to your car at what mile-marker.

Even if you do take good care of your car, you’re going to probably need minor repairs at some point. Here are just a few of the most common repair jobs we do at Berlin City Kia Service Center.

Brake Work: Wear and tear on brake pads is a repair that will typically happen more than once if you own your car many years. Disc, drum and rotor repairs can be somewhat costly, so please have your brakes checked regularly.

Coolant System: Unfortunately, radiator and coolant problems can be expensive. But if you have these integral systems flushed and cared for properly, you may avoid these costly repairs altogether.

Tires: Tire repairs are usually very inexpensive; be sure to have tire repairs done at the first sign of trouble. Putting off tire repairs will almost certainly result in a flat tire (or a blowout) very quickly after noticing a problem like tread wear or a crack in the sidewall.

Ignition System: This category includes the battery, starter and ignition and these repairs can be quite simple. The bad thing about these problems is that they often happen with no warning. You don’t get a warning that your battery is dying, but if you trust your car service to a trained team, they will let you know when your car is due for certain replacements and services. Hopefully, that will help to avoid the stress involved with walking into the garage to go to work and the car won’t start.

Electrical System: Electrical system problems include issues like blown fuses, lamp bulbs, etc. There can be much more serious problems with your car’s electrical system that only trained technicians should handle.

Fuel System: Your fuel pump can become clogged if you drive your vehicle with less than 1/4 of tank on a regular basis, and fuel filters must be replaced regularly.

Transmission: This word will cause drivers to panic. As soon as you learn you have transmission issues, you just have to realize it’s going to cost a lot to get it fixed. These repairs are usually complicated and expensive, so never trust anyone other than a factory-trained technician with a transmission repair job on your car.

Exhaust System: Again, these repairs are pretty expensive and most people need a professional to do the work.

Air Conditioning System: Unless you have experience with these systems, please find a pro to do the repair work on you’re A/C.

If you live in Williston, Burlington, Colchester, Essex, St. Albans, or a surrounding area, please trust the factory-trained technicians at the Berlin City Kia Service Center for all your car’s repair and service work.
